Step 1: Know the Type of Visa You Need

As a Bangladeshi passport holder, you need a visa to visit Malaysia. There are two types of tourist visas:

  • Sticker Visa (stamped on your passport)

  • eVisa (electronic visa you apply for online)

Most Bangladeshi travelers use either Sticker Visa through an agent or eVisa through the official website.


Step 2: Prepare Required Documents

Here’s what you’ll typically need for a tourist visa:

  1. Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)

  2. Passport-size photo (white background)

  3. Hotel booking confirmation

  4. Return air ticket

  5. Bank statement (last 6 months) – suggested balance: minimum BDT 60,000–70,000

  6. NID or Birth Certificate

  7. Visa application form (properly filled)

  8. Cover letter (mentioning your travel purpose)

  9. Travel itinerary (your travel plan in Malaysia)

  10. Employment certificate (if employed) or student ID/certificate (if student)

You must apply through a visa agent or travel agency. The Malaysian High Commission in Dhaka does not accept walk-in applications.
